Building Official
I was born and raised in the Fort Worth area. After graduation from Alvarado High School in 1972, I started with my father full time, building houses. I was mainly involved in framing and electrical wiring until I went to work as a plumbing apprentice in 1978 in Springtown, TX. I received a journeyman plumbing license in 1982 and went to work for Tom’s Mechanical in Arlington, until I received my master plumbing license in 1984. I worked plumbing residential homes until 1993, and then worked on commercial projects for 9 years, traveling with the plumbers union, local #68 out of Houston. I went to work for Victoria Plumbing & Air Conditioning in Victoria, TX as a project supervisor, where I also learned air conditioning installation. I came to work as a framing inspector for Westover Hills in 2005, and have since become the Building Official for the building department.
My wife, Nancy, and I live in Springtown with our chickens and two dogs, where we take life slow and easy.
When I first came to Westover Hills, we were using a 3rd party inspection service for our construction needs. I have since gained my plumbing inspectors license from the Texas State Board of Plumbing, and have also gained certifications from the International Code Council that include inspectors license for Building, Electrical, Plumbing, Mechanical, Plans Examining and Energy Code certification. I now do the preliminary plans examining and all of the inspection phases of construction. I have worked in construction for 34 years now, and really enjoy working with contractors and home owners, helping them to achieve a safe and sound project that will stand the test of time. I’m here to help, so the next time you are thinking of building or remodeling in Westover Hills, come in and see me, let’s talk.
